The Naga Students Federation (NSF) has lauded the Chief Minister of Nagaland Neiphiu Rio and Deputy Chief Minister  Y Patton for extension of the inner line permit system to the entire district of Dimapur district.
“Extension of ILP regime to cover the entire state of Nagaland has been the long standing demand of the NSF in our sincere bid to protect the rich culture, traditions, customs and practices of the indigenous people from the influx of illegal immigrants in the state”, a statement of the NSF said.
While acknowledging the  visionary wisdom and contributions of the seniors who initiated this journey and carried the torch forward and to all who walked along with us throughout this journey until we see the light of this historic day, the student body said that the decision  will go a long way in protecting the rights of the Indigenous people of the state and holds posterity in good stead.
The NSF however appealed  the state government to put in place a robust system so as to ensure that the ILP law is implemented in letter and in spirit for which NSF assures the government of our fullest support and co-operation.
