Imphal, Oct 30

Even as the Board of Directors of the Salai Holding Private Ltd. had announced rustication of their founder Director Narengbam Samarjit from the list of the board of directors in a hurriedly convened press meet held today morning, many investors in the Salai Holding private Ltd are now apprehensive of losing their hard earned money which they had invested to the firm.

Special Crime Branch of the state police have been directed to grill and investigate activities of the Salai Holding Private Ltd. and all its subsidiary units after the Founder Director Narengbam Samarjit announced a liberated Manipur with an exile government based in London, which was carried in almost all international print and electronic media yesterday. A case for waging war against the state has been registered against him and his co-partner Yambem Biren at Lamphel Police station. Taking the matter seriously Chief Minister N. Biren Singh had personally convened a press conference today and said that the two persons had waged war against the state and for that punitive action will be taken against the two after investigation by the Special crime branch of the state police and will be handed over to the National Investigative agencies as they have given such statement from a place in London.

According to an investors of the Salai Hoding Private Ltd. he have no worry about his income till yesterday as he use to get regular share , i.e. 3% of the amount he invested. But since yesterday evening after getting the news of his announcement he cannot sleep properly as he had invested all his hard earned money to the company.

Source said that there are some investors who may face music from the income tax department if the amount that they have invested are revealed, as it will reflect improper accumulation of wealth. These people are mostly government employees like engineers, doctors and bureaucrats officers. If NIA takes the case the matter may be associated with the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
