CPI vows to grant greater autonomy for the state; This election is a battle between Secular Democratic forces and the Hindu Fascist -Sotinkumar

Communist Party of India (CPI) today released its election manifesto promising greater autonomy of the state as well as restoring the special category status of Manipur.
“Promises made in the manifesto of the CPI to grant greater autonomy and to restore the special category status of the state will be converted into action if CPI candidate Dr. M. Nara has been elected”, CPI Manipur State Council’s secretary Sotinkumar assured during a press meet held today at state CPI office here in Imphal.
Sotinkumar said that The 17th Lok Sabha election which is at the door step is a battle between secular democratic forces and Hindu Fascism.
Highlighting the points of the manifesto which dealt with the state issue, he said that they will stand firmed and fight against the contentious CAB until it is scrapped. He further said that they will also focus  on the border pillar issue and will resurveyed it.
He said that to protect the territorial integrity of the state they will amend Article 3 of the Indian constitution and will never allowed to disintegrate the state.
He also said that they will try to increase the number of seats in the parliament thereby giving the people of some areas where they have the right to vote but doesn’t have the right to contest and added that they will try to increase one more seat in the parliament.
Focusing on the agenda of the AFSPA he said that their party will try to remove it from the entire state and also will push it in the Lok Sabha to repeal such colonial act. Referring to the statement of the defence minister where she said that removing AFSPA will demoralised the army, the BJP shows that they will continue to put in effect and support the very act, Sotinkumar said.
To protect the drivers and commuters where they faced a lot of hardships he said that  highway protection force will be enforced on the two lifeline National Highways (NH 39 and NH 37).
He  added that the CPI will make the Manipur People’s Bill get President’s assent to protect the identity and the people of Manipur and added that the party will move for Constitutional Safeguard for the indigenous people of Manipur.
Focusing on the National issue Sotinkumar said that NITI Ayog  will be replaced by Planning Commission.
He finally added that they will try to change the present electoral system into a better proportionate representation system.
