Talking to a group of media persons at his residence, Congress MLA Joykishan said that as the Chief Minister fails to listen to the grievances of James Gangte who hailed from Churachandpur district, he only acted to deliver justice to James Gangte as it is also a role of the opposition MLA.

“The matter was addressed to me by James and as an opposition MLA I took it up as it is a serious breach of trust between the Hill and plain people”, Joykishan said and questioned the Chief Minister about the significance of his ambitious “Go to Hill” mission if a grievances of a single person from hill cannot be listened.

As the amount he paid to Rajendro was Rs. 12 lakhs and that too after collecting from other desperate contractor he deny to receive the money unless it is fully cleared, James said and asked if Rajendro do not know me, how come he sent people to me for clearing Rs. 5 lakhs. .

“During our tenure I even brought four students who are outstanding in the hill districts of district of Manipur in an award distribution ceremony of meritorious students organised by ICHAM at Manipur Press Club”, James said.

“It was during the that time that he told me to give money as percentage for early clearance of our pending Bill”, James added.
