Electrification of non-electrified villages in Tipaimukh targeted to be completed by March 2019 – Biswajit

On the 5th day of the ongoing Seventh Session of the 11th Manipur Legislative Assembly today, Power Minister Th Biswajit in response to starred question raised during question hour by Dr.Chaltonlien Amo, MLA(55-Tipaimukh) regarding proposal for electrification of the non-electrified villages in Tipaimukh A/C, stated that electrification of these areas have already started during the first week of February 2019 and that the work is still in progress and is targeted to be completed by March 2019.
In another supplementary question put forward by him regarding the present status of National Highway NH-2 under NHIDCL, Minister Th Biswajit said that incessant rainfall hampers the road conditions of the National Highway-2  causing inconveniences to the public and there is need for periodic renewal. The restoration work is in progress currently and the road maintenance will be completed by 1st week of March 2019, he added.
PHED Minister Loshi Dikho while replying to MLA O Henry’s query in connection with the current status of the installation of pieline networks in Wangkhei A/C under the AMRUT scheme, said that the overall progress is around 24% and the project shall be completed by 31st March 2020. In connection with starred question number 268 regarding water supply scheme at Langathel and Khongjom raised by MLA P Brojen Singh, Minister Loshi Dikho assured that there is upgradation/developmental work of water supply scheme at these areas with the scheme operating at Khongjom in Wangjing Tentha for supply of water to every household.
Regarding constitution of the 4th State Finance Commission, Finance Minister Y. Joykumar informed the House that the State Cabinet has given approval and that the process for appointment of its Chairman and members is under process. In a supplementary question raised by MLA Surjakumar Okram for consideration of its implementation and appointment, he replied that whoever seems fit to serve the concerned posts will be considered.
 Water Resources Minister Letpao Haokip replying to a question raised by MLA Fajur Rahim, informed that work order and 3 DPRs formed for sanctioning Rs.435.98 crores are submitted to the Ministry of Water Resources for renovation of river embankments to check floods.
In a question raised by MLA O Henry,labour Minister, Th. Radheshyam clarified  that the total number of persons trained under the Skill Development Mission is 2313 out of which 401 trainees are placed. The placement rate is 17.34%, he further mentioned.
