Pandam daily observes first foundation Day

Luchingpurel Chingsubam Akaba Ningshing Lup (LUCANIL) observed the 70th birth anniversary of the people’s leader (late) Chingsubam Akaba today at Hongmanh Tangkhul village, Saikul, Senapati district and also observe the 1st foundation day celebration of Pandam daily, a bilingual evening daily newspaper.
As a part of the function, the organizing committee installed its first award of ‘Luchingpurel Chingsubam Akaba Ningsing Journalist Award 2013-2014’ as homage to the memory of (late) Chingsubam Akaba.
Hemantakumar Ningomba, Editor of the Manipuri edition of Huiyen Lanpao received ‘Editor Award for development of Manipuri Language and Script’ along with a cash award of Rs. 20,000. The second
category of the award ‘Reporter Award for promotion of Integration and Communal harmony in Manipur’ was awarded to Sapam Aruna, staff reporter of Sangai Express.  The award includes a cash prize of Rs. 15,000.  On the occasion calendar for the upcoming year 2015 along with a special edition of
today’s paper with eight pages was released .
Titular King of Manipur, Leisemba Sanajaoba, Former Minister, RV Mingthing, Tangkhul Naga Wungnaolong, President, Sweeten Rahing, Editor’s Guild Manipur, President, A. Mobi, R. Suisa Trust, Chairman, Dr. Ngohorsai Luithui, Pandam, executive editor, N. Tomba and Hongmahn Tangkhul Village,
Chief, Akhui Zimik attended the function as Chief Guest, President and Guests of Honour respectively.
