MCPCR observes 7th foundation day; Nemcha Kipgen urges all the stakeholders to comply with MCPCR’s recommendations

Social Welfare and Cooperation Minister Smt. Nemcha Kipgen graced the 7th Foundation Day of Manipur Commission for Protection of Child Rights (MCPCR) organised under the theme “Revisiting and Exploring more for Justice to Children,” held today at its office complex, North AOC, Imphal.

Addressing the gatherings as Chief Guest, Minister Nemcha highlighted the importance of the commission in protecting, promoting, constant monitoring of the basic fundamental rights of the child, generating mass awareness regarding child rights laws and many more welfare programs and activities for the children of the state.

Nemcha urges all the stakeholders including state agency, police department, law court, schools, private institutions, individuals etc. to comply with the directives and recommendations of MCPCR as it is a constitutional body. She further assured that she have been and will also extends every possible assistance and intervention from her ends if needs arises.

Social Welfare Minister also hails the commission for selflessly working with an objective that no child should be deny of their basic fundamental rights and if there’s any such case, MCPCR reaches out to such children to rehabilitate them to the normal lifestyle and she believes that the commission will continue its exceptional services in the long run too.

Chairperson, Manipur State Women Commission, Smt. M. Binota Devi, Water Resources & Minor Irrigation, Government of Manipur, Smt.Jacintha Lazarus, IAS, Chairperson, Manipur Commission for Protection of Child Rights, Smt. Sumatibala, Secretary graced the occasion as Guests of Honour and President respectively. Concern officials from various government departments were also present on this occasion.
