109 BN C.R.P.F. as a part of nationwide campaign organized “Rashtriya Ekta Diwas” today at unit hqr, Mongsangei, Imphal. The function was presided over by Vinod Kumar, Commandant and was by attended by all officers & unit personnel. The program was organized in connection with “Rastriya Ekta Diwas” to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel, the “Iron man of India” who played a stellar role in the struggle for independence and creation of a united independent India out of several hundred princely states which existed at the time of Independence.
During the Rastriya Ekta Diwas Sh. Vinod kumar, Commandant 109 Bn CRPF took pledge and administered the same to all the Unit personnel present in the ceremony to stand firm to bring peace and uphold the unity, integrity, harmony and internal security of the nation reiterating the vision of Sardar Patel. He also emphasized to be more people friendly and also evoked that CRPF has great responsibilities for internal security of this country. A true homage and tribute to the “Iron man” of this country will be that we must stand united.
