15 Assam Rifles under the aegis of 9 Sect AR provided assistance to Social Development Organisation and Meira Paibis of Yaurabung Village for setting up a vocational training centre in the village on 27Oct 2018 wef 1000- 1200 hrs . As part of connecting to people through means of various programs being organised by Assam Rifles units , 15 Assam Rifles today took a major leap in the field of Women Empowerment through providing them with infrastructure and equal opportunities to showcase their skills and to be self reliant . Women play an important part in development and upliftment of every society and giving them equal opportunities is our moral right . Furthermore providing correct infrastructure and equipment to women in the rural parts of Manipur can actually work wonders in their favour as they have extreme talent and skills but lack of amenities undermines their output .
