First private satellite TV channel launched

Imphal, Oct 2, Chief Minister N. Biren Singh today launched the first ever private run satellite channel today. Lamjingba groups Times of Manipur is the name of the newly launched channel. Deputy Chief Minister Y. Joykumar Singh, Education Minister Radheshyam, Works Minister Th Bishwajit among others were present during the inaugural function of the private TV satellite channel. Along with the TV Channel, a Manipuri Medium News Paper was also launched under the name Time of Manipur. Speaking on the occasion chief Minister N. Biren Singh said that the satellite channel will serve its purpose of spreading the happening in the state across the globe. He said that government will give every possible support to the newly established channel.
