Chanu Creation service reaches Tripura; conducted training prog. to weavers of the state

Under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY), Chanu Creations, Thangmeiband, Imphal has trained RPL-PMKVY skill Development training to 187 weavers (including 15 male weavers) in Radhanagar of Tripura from 27th March to 30th March, 2018 and 150 weavers (including 1 male weaver) in Bridyanagar of Tripura from 31st March to 1st April, 2018 in the job role ‘‘Two Shaft Handloom Weaver’’ as PIA under NSDC. The assessment of the Radhanagar RPL trainees was held on 30th March, 2018 and 1st April, 2018 respectively and for Bridyanagar, the RPL assessment was held on 2nd April, 2018. The assessment of these two locations was conducted by different assessment agencies assigned by Textile Sector Skill Council (TSC).
The certificate distribution ceremony for the certified RPL-PMKVY trainees of Radhanagar and Bridyanagar of West Tripura District was held at Majlishpur on dated 19th August, 2018. Altogether 307 certified trainees of these two locations were awarded RPL certificates at the event. The programme was attended by Smt. Purnima Das Pradhan West Majlishpur Gram Panchayat, Smt. Chirom Indira Proprietor/CEO Chanu Creations (National Awardee 2015, Nari Shakti Puraskar Awardee 2017, DMA All India Women Entrepreneurs Awardee 2018 & Vasundhara Hall of Fame Awardee 2018), Shri Badal Debnath Proprietor Mahamaya Handicrafts and Shri W. Joyshankar Luwang Project Manager Chanu Creations were grace the function as Chief Guest, President and Guest of Honours respectively.
Chanu Creations, Thangmeiband has trained RPL training under PMKVY to 1006 candidates (including 78 male weavers and 1 transgender) in Tripura as a PIA under National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), covering four districts namely Sepahijala, Unakoti, North Tripura and West Tripura respectively. There are 21 nos. batches in total. The RPL-PMKVY training for Tripura was started from 22nd March, 2018 and completed on 3rd April, 2018 by five Master Trainers/Trainer of Trainees (ToT). The assessments of the trainees are conducted by different assessment agencies assigned by Textile Sector Skill Council (TSC) starting from 24th March, 2018 and completed on 4th April, 2018. Altogether 970 trainees were certified and distributed RPL Certificates under PMKVY for the state of Tripura. It is truly gratifying that the efforts of Chanu Creations bring smiles to thousands of women weavers in the region and moving towards the fruitfulness tomorrow’s generation with a new identity.  
The Union Cabinet had approved India’s largest Skill Certiûcation Scheme, Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY), on 20 March, 2015. The Scheme was subsequently launched on 15 July, 2015, on the occasion of World Youth Skills Day by Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi. PMKVY is implemented by National Skills Development Corporation (NSDC) under the guidance of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE). With a vision of a ‘’Skilled India’’, MSDE aims to skill India on a large scale with speed and high standards.
