A Consultative Meeting Cum Awareness Programme of Kharif Crops Seed Production and Information Communication Technology in Agriculture was conducted at Tuilelon village, Sajiktampak, Chakpikarong Block, Chandel. The Programme was organized by Tuilelon Village Authority in collaboration with Organisation for Tribal Benefit Programme (OTBP) and Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Chandel. The main resource persons were Ts. Leenda, ACTO (Plant Breeding), KVK Chandel; Dehkhohao Doungel, Technical Officer (Computer), KVK Chandel and Sk. Koparsing, Supervising Officer, OTBP-NERCOMP, Chandel.
Smt. Ts. Leenda, ACTO (Plant Breeding) spoke on “Agro – techniques on seed production of kharif crops”. She emphasized on doubling of income of the farmers by
adopting seed production to sustain their livelihood. Dehkhohao Doungel, Technical Officer (Computer), KVK Chandel spoke on importance of ICT in agriculture. While Sk.
Koparsing, Supervising Officer, OTBP-NERCOMP, Chandel spoke on livelihood enhancement of the farmers in agriculture. The programme was followed by consultation/interaction and film show on agriculture.
The programme was attended by Semkholun Haokip, Secretary KCA (Kana Area) and shri Thangkhohen Lhungdim, Chief, Tuilelon village. A total of 50 famers from
Tuilelon, Chakap, T. Phaicham, Paldai, New Molnom, K. Bethel, Hengmol, Bongpijang, Molphei, Kananphai, Gelbungjang, T. Phailen and P. Salem villages of Kana area of Sajiktampak, Chandel.
