Suicide claims of army man denied by family members ; Demands Justice

Imphal, March 9: Suicide claims by authority over the dead of army personnel Lance Naik Yangmi Muyo (34 yrs) has been refuted by the family member.
Talking to media persons at Manipur Press Club, Majorkhul this afternoon, wife of the deceased jawan expressed suspicion to the way her husband died.
“No notice were sought to the family member’s of Lance Naik Yangmi Muyo about the incident which occurred on January 18, 2017 between 10am to 11 am by the concern army department though the news was pass through by a native known to the family members stating Yangmi Muyo has been hospitalized in serious condition”, said Timrawon Muyo , the 29 yrs old lady and wife of the deceased jawan, Yangmi Muyo.
Expressing disappointments over the negligence of the army officials who could have inform the family members about the incident, Timrawon Muyo said that none were allowed to get near the lifeless body of her husband.
Despite the officials has claim the death of her husband is suicide, it was found out that her husband has been murdered through the received report of post mortem, she added.
Family members had lodged an FIR on January 19, 2018 at Sapormeina Police Station under Senaopati District to find out the truth on the suspicious death of Lance Naik Yangmi Muyo but till date no positive action or response has been made, even though they decry, the officer who is handling the case viz Kakai, ASI of Sapormeina Police Station won’t take up the case stating unreasonable response which is not related with the case, Timrawon Muyo asserts.
Since the case on the suspicious death of Lance Naik Yangmi Muyo remains unsolved and neglected, family members appeals the state government and concern department to look into the matter so that justice can be serve at the earliest and the culprits are made to pay the price of their deeds by the law of the land, asserts family members.
Mention may be that Lance Naik Yangmi Muyo was serving as Territorial Army at 165 Battalion in Laimakhong in wireless department with three other colleagues (1 tangkhul, 1 Muslim and 1 Kuki) and Lance Naik Yangmi Muyo was found dead at the store room where the four of them were posted with his throat slice three times.
Lance Naik Yangmi Muyo (34 yrs), son of Diamond Muyo of Halang Village in Ukhrul District left behind his wife and a son who is just 3 yrs and 10 months old.
