CM indirectly supports Modi’s Make in India model

Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh today go by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s model of Make in India by saying that developed countries like China or Japan have less umployment problem as they facilitate entrepreneur from other countries to set up industries in their provinces.  He said the state need to change certain legislation to encourage foreign investor in the state for setting up pf industries.Speaking during the inaugural function of  Skill development workshop organised by Department of Labour and Employment today at Sangai Hall, Imphal Hotel Chief Minister O. Ibobi said that the workshop is very much important for the state’s unemployed educated youths who are found rather confused after completion of their studies. He said that the developed countries like China, Japan and Singapore has less than 4% in national average of unemployment. The reason for less problem of unemployment in developed Countries like China and Japan is because they facilitate entrepreneurs from other Countries to set up Industries in their province with certain terms and conditions such as to give employment to the people of their province, said the Chief Minister. He said there is a need to modify the New Land Acquisition Act and the Forestry Environment Clearance. With the help of this skill development workshop he hoped that the unemployed educated youths of the state would enable to get employment to a certain extent, added Ibobi. He further added that to give employment to all the youth is next to impossible however there is certain changes need to be implemented in the current employment system of the state such as introduction of biometrics among others.
