As part of the month-long celebration of Irabot Day, Yairipok Universal College has organized the 119th Hijam Irabot Ningsing Thouram at Yairipok Universal College Campus in Thoubal District today.
Ningombam Sunil Meitei, Pradhan Wangkhem Gram Panchayat, Dr Maibam Rajendro Singh, Retd. Joint Director, Vety. Department and Dr Tensubam Kunjeshwor Singh, Asst. Professor, Kha Manipur College Kakching as Chief guest, President and Guest of honour respectively.
Floral tribute was paid at the photograph of Hijam Irabot on the occasion.
Attending the function as a resource person Social Scientist, Dr Dhanabir Laishram, spoke on the topic “Nationalism, Patriotism & role of Youth on national characters.”
As part of the function, competition of Patriotic Song and Recitation for the students of Yairipok areas was also held.
