Incessant rain triggers massive floods, landslide all over Manipur

Manipur has been witnessing floods at various places due to the incessant rains in the last few days. Water levels of major rivers in the state are running above danger level. The incessant rain triggered landslides and mudslides in different parts of the state, particularly along the National High Ways.
Water levels of almost all rivers in the state including Imphal River, Nambul, etc. are running above danger level. Many schools which were near the Rivers have been closed.
Landslides that occurred at various places along National Highway- 37 have disrupted the traffic completely. Tamenglong- Nagaland, Tamenglong- Noney, Tamenlong- Taoshem and Tamenglong-Tamei has been cut off due to landslides and mudslides.
In Imphal East District, Imphal- Sykul road, Haraorou, Tangkham, Chimgkhu, Sambrei and Yumnamkhunao and various places of Khundrakpam Assembly constituency including paddy field and residential areas have been inundated by the rainwater.
In Imphal West District, roads and residential areas at Uripok, Sagolband and Lanthabal Assembly Constituencies have been inundated by the rain water.
