Immediate JCILPS’ Public Curfew causes trouble to large people

The public curfew called by JCILPS today caused trouble to people who were unaware of curfew being imposed since today morning from 4am to 4pm.
Unaware about the curfew that was informed to media through press release yesterday night, Khwairamband Keithel was opened normally early in the morning.
However, at around 9 am all the shops and vendors were closed after the news spread over through print media and hearsay. All the vehicular movements were stopped suddenly causing havoc to large number of market goers, employees of various departments.
This sudden imposition of curfew caused havoc to people at large. A large number of people, who came from outside the state were seen walking a long distance even upto Kumbi (51 KM from Imphal) to reach their home. While, a group of 4 (four) sports person including a woman was seen coming from Wangjing to Imphal by walk to report at SAI complex here.
Fearing of possible worsening of situation following the public curfew, a large number of workers, who are working at various sectors, have also reportedly returned home today. A group of carpenters, who are residing at Sagolband area have returned to Yumnam Huidrom by walk today afternoon.
When Imphal Times reporter met those carpenters at Keishamthong, they said that for the last month they staying at their workplace without any earnings were unable to earn enough money to meet the requirements of their family.
“It is better for us to go home than staying outside if the situation is getting worse”, they said. 
While, vendor women returned home disappointed without doing any business due to immediate public curfew.
