Members of the Apunba Nupi Khunai, Thangmeiband today staged a sit-in-protest near PCTC oil pump Imphal demanding immediate implementation of ILP in the state. Protestor taking part in the protest expressed strong opposition to the resolution taken yesterday at Iboyaima Sumang leela Sanglen . Among the three points resolution taken yesterday in connection with the agitation of the JCILPS, a women protestor said that the meeting was convened in a hurriedly way and many people could not take part and expressed their opinions.
She further said that the resolution of the meeting was not what the people expected from the JCILPS. She said there is no need for extending another 15 days and she appealed the JCILPS to continue to stir until the demand is fulfilled.
Salai Taret Apunba Nupi lup and Rims shops group at RIM road, RIMS, All Manipur Student Transporter Association at Kwakeithel, Diesel Auto Owner cum Driver Union and Siroy Transport Society and Street vendors, opposite Rims gate, Jiri Parking Dukan Group at Wahengbam Leikai, Patsoi part-3, Yurembam Awang and Makha Leikai Meira Paibi, Wangoi Wahengbam Leikai Meira Paibi also stage sit-in protest and demanded immediate implementation of ILPS in Manipur at their respective area.
