ID-UL-ZUHA greetings

Imphal, Sept 12: Manipur Chief Minister O Ibobi greets the people of the state on the eve of ID-UL-ZUHA, highlighting the supreme sacrifice made by Prophet Ibrahim for the sake of mankind. He also urged everyone to be inspired by such sacrifices and work for the betterment of mankind and to spread the message of love, kindness and forgiveness for a peaceful and prosperous Manipur. Deputy CM Gaikhangam also greets the people of the state on the auspicious occasion and wishes for a better Manipur. Major General VS Sreenivas, VSM**, IG AR (South) and all Ranks of the Assam Rifles also extend EID MUBARAK with warm greetings and sincere goodwill to the people of Manipur on the auspicious occasion of “Id-Ul-Zuha (Bakr-Id)”. IG AR (South) described the festival as one of the most important festivals for Muslims which is observed and celebrated as a festival of sacrifice and said that the festival may strengthen the bonds of brotherhood among the people. He also conveys his earnest message of peace, harmony and unity on this joyous occasion and wishes that the goodwill and harmony will bring everyone together for ushering in a peaceful and prosperous era. The state government have declared the day as a public holiday.
