The Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BoSEM) on Monday announced the results of the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) Examination 2025, with a pass percentage recorded at 91.37%.
According to official sources, a total of 33,755 students had appeared for the examination, which was held from February 19 to March 7, 2025, across 155 examination centres in the state.
The results were declared in the form of Grades and Grade Points, without the display of individual subject marks in the Certificate-cum-Grade Statement issued by the Board. It was informed that this format was adopted in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which seeks to promote holistic learning and reduce examination-related stress among students.
BoSEM further stated that school authorities may collect the Certificate-cum-Grade Statements of the successful candidates from May 28, 2025 onwards. In addition, candidates may obtain their Provisional Certificate-cum-Grade Statements starting from May 14, 2025, upon payment of Rs. 1500 along with Rs. 100 as the cost of the application form.
The Board also informed that students who were unsuccessful in the 2025 HSLC Examination and wish to appear in the 2026 examination as regular candidates may be re-admitted to Class X in their respective schools within 45 days from the date of result declaration. Schools are required to submit the names of these re-admitted students to the Board within 60 days, with their internal marks to be included in the application forms.
Moreover, candidates who wish to apply for re-scrutiny of their answer scripts may do so from May 15 to May 30, 2025, by submitting the prescribed form along with a non-refundable fee of Rs. 2100 per subject, which includes the application form cost. However, it was clarified that re-scrutiny would not entail re-evaluation or re-examination of the answer scripts.
BoSEM has urged all concerned to adhere to the deadlines and follow the official procedures as notified.
The official declaration of the result was attended by Naorem Praveen, IAS, Secretary Education (S) as Chief Guest, Akham Jokumar Singh, BOSEM Chairman as President, BOSEM Secretary Tilelal, Ng. Bhogendra Meitei, MCS (Education S), and BOSEM Controller of Examination Ayan Thoi Singh as Guests of Honour respectively.
