Govt Drivers’ and Technicians’ Association submits memorandum to Governor

A delegation from the All Manipur Government Drivers’ and Technicians’ Association today called on the Governor of Manipur, Ajay Kumar Bhalla, at Raj Bhavan, Imphal, and submitted a memorandum highlighting the pressing issues faced by government-employed drivers and technicians in the state.
The memorandum outlined key grievances, including challenges related to service conditions, pay anomalies, lack of promotional avenues, and long-standing demands for better working conditions and recognition of their contributions to essential government functioning.
During the meeting, the Governor gave a patient hearing to the concerns raised by the delegation. He assured the representatives that their issues would be carefully examined in consultation with the concerned departments and necessary steps would be taken to address them.
The Association expressed hope that the government would take swift and favourable action to resolve their longstanding demands and improve the welfare of drivers and technicians serving across various departments.
