Imphal, July 31: Anita (13) Daughter of Ishak Haokip of Shamurou was kidnapped by unidentified persons while leaving Bright School of Shamurou where she is a student at around 1.30 pm on July 30, 2014. While the identity of the kidnappers could not be ascertained, it was reported that a silver colour van bearing registration no. MNO1L 2412 was used to kidnap the girl student. It is speculated that the motive for the unfortunate crime was either for demanding ransom or recruitment for one of the many insurgent groups operating in the state.
