Free medical camp held at flood affected Tentha village

A one day free medical camp was organized for the flood affected people of Tentha Khongbal in Thoubal district at United Public School, Tentha on Sunday.
The medical camp was jointly organized by Dynamic Manipur (DM), Helping Hands Manipur, Emmanual Hospital Association, Mangal Tentha and Social Warriors Manipur.
During Floods Relief Medical Camp held at United Public School, Tentha, OPDs for Paediatrics, Dermatology, General medicine, Eye and common post-flood diseases etc were opened.  Doctors could detect “chickenpox” disease from among a few kids in the village. Around 20 doctors attended to about 700 people who turned up for availing medical facilities at the camp.
Speaking to media persons, RK Somio General secretary, Dynamic Manipur said most parts of Thoubal district are affected by flood. Though flood waters had receded there is possibility of spread of water borne diseases in affected area. The free health camp is organized jointly by the like minded organizations to prevent the flood affected villagers from the water borne diseases and other diseases.
Expressing hope that the daylong health check up camp would be helpful to the villagers, Somio said that the organizations would continue rendering such service to the people in the hour of need in the days to come. Medicines were also distributed to the people during the camp at free of costs.
