Former ADC Members urge Governor to expedite District Council Elections

A delegation of former members of the Autonomous District Councils (ADCs) met with the Governor of Manipur, Ajay Kumar Bhalla, at Raj Bhavan in Imphal today and submitted a memorandum expressing concern over the prolonged delay in conducting ADC elections in the state.
The delegation highlighted the challenges and issues faced by the hill areas due to the non-conduct of the elections. They appealed to the Governor to take necessary initiatives to ensure that the ADC elections are held at the earliest, stating that the absence of elected bodies has adversely affected the hill districts.
In a separate meeting, Brigadier N. Romeo Singh (Retd.), who recently assumed office as a Member of the Manipur Public Service Commission (MPSC), also called on the Governor at Raj Bhavan.
