Federation of Civil Society Organization (FOCS) Manipur has initiated a drive to against trading with Chin-Kuki community.
In a recent statement released by FOCS spokesperson Nerish Mangang announced the launch of a drive against trade activities with the Chin-Kuki community in the valley area. The statement emphasized that numerous trades in the region are engaged in buying and selling commodities to the Chin-Kukis.
FOCS has consistently asserted that participating in trade with the Chin-Kuki community is equivalent to supporting them in the ongoing conflict against the Meiteis. The statement emphasized the need for considering the repercussions of such trade, emphasizing that many local youths and people are facing hardships due to the ongoing conflict.
FOCS Manipur has called for collective action and cooperation from the local clubs and meira paibi, urging those involved in trading with Chin-Kukis to reconsider their activities in light of the broader consequences.
