Imphal, June 25: The first anniversary of the launch of AMRUT and Smart City Mission was held today in co ordination with MUDA, Municipal Corporation and town planning department at GM Hall. The function was presided by Commissioner of MAHUD- RK Dinesh, first Mayor of IMC Soram Sunil and director of MAHUD, N Geet Kumar.
During the function, Commissioner of MAHUD RK Dinesh said that AMRUT and Smart City Mission were launched last year by Prime Minister of India for the development of urban and fulfil the basic needs of the people. The success of AMRUT and Smart City Mission depends on the people of the society and their support, he added.
As part of the function awards were distributed for the drawing competition held under the theme of cleanliness.
