Ex-SSB Association holds 27th Annual General Body Meeting

The Ex-SSB Personnel Welfare Association, Manipur held its 27th Annual General Body (GB) Meeting today at the Manipur Dramatic Union (MDU) Hall in Imphal. During the meeting, new office bearers were elected and several key resolutions were adopted to strengthen the association’s activities and outreach.
Addressing the gathering, the General Body unanimously resolved to increase the financial assistance amount provided to members. The aid given to families of deceased ex-SSB personnel has been increased from ¹ 40,000 to ¹ 45,000. The decision was made to enhance support to the families of former personnel who served the nation with dedication.
In recognition of exemplary contributions, two former SSB personnel were also honoured for their commendable involvement in social work and sports. Certificates of appreciation were presented to them as a token of recognition and encouragement.
As part of the day’s proceedings, elections for the new executive committee were also conducted. Former SSB Deputy Commandant K. Surjakumar Singh was elected as the new President, while former SSB Assistant Commandant M. Ranjit was chosen as the General Secretary of the association for the next three-year term.
Outgoing President H. Tombi, who presided over the meeting, urged the newly elected team to take the association to greater heights. He also called upon former SSB personnel who have not yet joined the association to come together and strengthen the unity and purpose of the group.
The association reaffirmed its commitment to the welfare of ex-SSB personnel and resolved to continue its social and community outreach in the days ahead.
