Imphal, Sept 13:  Khuga Battalion launched ‘MISSION UJALA’ for people living in the far flung areas near Indo – Myanmar border having very limited access to development schemes.
There border villages namely Zoukhunou, Hiangtam Khunou and C Lanchah are in very remote areas and have no connection or access to electricity.  The company posts located in the villages undertook a special drive under ‘MISSION UJALA’ and provided the villages electricity in night for four hours from own limited resources.
The villagers have benefitted a lot as it helps them charge their electronics devices like mobiles and also helps  their children to do studies in the night.
