Eid to be celebrated across India tomorrow; Guv’, CM among others wishes

Eid Ul Fitr, which marks the culmination of the holy month of Ramzan, will be celebrated across the country tomorrow. Shahi Imam of Jama Masjid Syed Ahmed Bukhari and Shahi Imam of Fatehpuri Masjid, Dr Mufti Mohammed Mukarram Ahmed said, as the new moon of Eid-ul-Fitr was not sighted yesterday evening, therefore Eid will be celebrated tomorrow.
However, in Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates Eid-ul-Fitr, is being celebrated today. The announcements were made following the sighting of the moon of Shawwal, the month following Ramzan.
Official Twitter for Haramain, which gives updates about Makkah and Madinah announced the sighting of the moon.
Manipur Governor Dr. Najma Heptulla, Chief Minister, N. Biren Singh, Works Minister Th Biswajit, Opposition leader O Ibobi , Senior Congress leaders and ruling MLAs wish the Muslim community of the state on occasion of the Eid.
