Extra-judicial Execution Victim Families Association, Manipur (EEVFAM) once more demanded speedy delivery of justice to victims of alleged encounter by security force in the state on occasion of its 11th Foundation day.
Altogether, a total of 1528 cases of fake encounter cases, documented with the support of various human rights bodies particular the Human Rights Alert and the matter has been put up to the notice of the Supreme Court to deliver justice to the victims. The Supreme Court has directed the CBI to investigate some of the cases and directed to deliver justice to the victims as soon as possible after a case has been filed in October 2012. But till today none of the victims have been delivered justice by punishing those involved in the extrajudicial killings.
As a part of the observance, floral tributes were paid to the portrait of those victims of the fake encounter. Following that a penal discussion on the issue faced by the EEVFAM was held and the whole penal discussion was uploaded live at social networking site facebook.
