Lt Gen Sukhdeep Sangwan, SM**, DG AR visited the Moreh Battalion of 26 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) where he was briefed about the various initiative undertaken by Assam Rifles in far flung areas to improve the lifestyle of common men. The General Officer was shown Nation Skill Development Centre and various other initiative being run by the Assam Rifles which is facilitating youth in horning a skill to either start own business or be observed in any professional field by acquiring specific technical skill. The Director General, was also briefed about the prevailing security situation and various complexities of operating with mandated Dual task of Border Guarding and Counter Insurgencies. The General Officer appreciated the efforts of Assam Rifles in carrying out of all the complex tasks without disturbing the harmony of the region.
