DDAM office inaugurated

Newly constructed building of the Disabled Development Association of Manipur (DDAM) was inaugurated today at Oinam Sawombung Awang Leikai, Imphal West. MLA MD Fajurrahim, who is also the Chairman Wakf Board, Manipur and Heishnam Lokeshwor , Advisor DDAM attended as Chief Guest and President respectively. Chief Engineer of CADA, Govt. of Manipur, K Monoranjan Singh, National awardee L. Bedamala Devi and founder of Little Master School M. Thoiba also attended as Guest of Honours.
Speaking on the occasion, General Secretary of DDAM, Yunus Khan said that the organization was formed with aims and objects to provide better facilities to the disabled community of the state. The organization was earlier called All Manipur Disabled and Physicallly Handicapped Development Association but was later clanged to DDAM. He said the organization has so far conducted various activities for promotion of disabled persons by culturing them in sport activities and also in other handicraft production unit. He also said the organization has been spreading awareness about the rights of the disabled people.
