CorCom and ULFA-(Independent) issued congratulatory joint statement after Tinsukia ambush

Imphal, Nov. 21: Following the ambush on the Indian Army personnel at Tinsukia Assam in which three army personnel died and four sustained injuries, the Joint Command of the Operation: BARAK, MM Ngouba- Chairman, Joint Military Commission (JMC) of CorCom and Major-General Paresh Asom- Vice Chairman cum Chief of Army Staff of ULFA-Independent, expressed their gratitude to the Joint Team for their brave action against Indian Army, Commander of Joint Tactical Operations Centre (JTOC) for this successful operation and fraternal organisations of WESEA and Asom and Naga people for their kind help in a joint statement of CorCom and United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA-independent). The release further states that in pursuance of the truth and common cause of liberation and to enhance the progress for the National Liberation Movement of WESEA, Coordination Committee (CorCom) of People’s Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak, People’s Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (Progressive), Revolutionary People’s Front and United National Liberation Front and United Liberation Front of Asom [ULFA-Independent], a constituent member of United National Liberation Front of WESEA (UNLFW), undertook a Joint Military Operation: BARAK against the Indian army under which a joint team attacked the 15 Kumaon Regiment at Burhi Dihing, Tinsukia, Assam on 2016 November 19, 5:30 am killing three soldiers and injuring four or more while recovering one AK Rifle and one INSAS Rifle.
