Congress launches Kisan Nyay Yodhas initiative to strengthen farmers’ advocacy nationwide

The All India Kisan Congress, under the leadership of National President Sukhpal Singh Khaira and guided by All India Congress Committee President Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, has launched a dedicated initiative named “Kisan Nyay Yodhas” to champion the cause of farmers and laborers across the country.
Akhilesh Shukla, Vice Chairman of the All India Kisan Congress, announced the responsibilities and objectives of the Kisan Nyay Yodhas from the party headquarters located at 24, Akbar Road, New Delhi.
The Kisan Nyay Yodhas have been entrusted with the task of bringing the voice of India’s farmers into the public and political discourse. They will focus on ensuring the documentation and proper monitoring of farmers’ issues, such as concerns regarding minimum support price, the burden of agricultural loans, access to modern farming methods, and the impact of government policies. These issues are to be recorded accurately so they can be raised effectively at the appropriate platforms.
The Congress party also aims to raise awareness among farmers and laborers regarding their rights. The initiative will help inform them about the welfare schemes that are currently active in Congress-governed states, while also working to spread awareness about the need for similar benefits in states not ruled by the Congress party. Kisan Nyay Yodhas will take the responsibility of reaching every village and household to ensure this information is shared widely.
Establishing communication and organizing dialogue between farmers, laborers, and other affected communities is also a major component of the initiative. Through small gatherings, meetings, and public interactions, the Kisan Nyay Yodhas will create a space where concerns can be voiced collectively and solutions discussed. Congress leaders including Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi are said to be actively working toward addressing these challenges through both policy change and grassroots support.
Advocating for farmer-friendly policy reforms remains a priority for the Congress party. The Kisan Nyay Yodhas will act as a conduit, ensuring that the genuine demands and needs of the agricultural community are communicated effectively to policymakers. State-level Congress leaders have been urged to play a crucial role in amplifying these voices and pushing for relevant reforms.
Legal empowerment and social justice form another pillar of this initiative. The Congress party has emphasized the need to inform farmers about their legal rights and to provide necessary legal assistance when required. This effort is aimed at ensuring that every farmer and laborer is protected under the law and receives fair treatment.
Effective communication will be pursued through the use of local and social media platforms to bring attention to farmers’ grievances and to highlight the Congress party’s vision and ongoing efforts. Rahul Gandhi, along with other senior leaders, will continue to spotlight these concerns across various national platforms to ensure the message reaches every citizen.
