COCOMI intensifies campaign, prepares more line of protest

A day after lakhs of people stage rally demanding the extermination of Chin-Kuki Narco-Terrorists from the soil of Manipur among others, the Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI) is all set to organize protest at New Delhi.
A statement by Khuraijam Athouba, spokesperson of COCOMI and Dr. Seram Rojes, Convenor of Delhi Meetei Coordination Committee (DMCC) said that a Sit-in-Demonstration will be organized in New Delhi on August 6, at Jantar Mantar.
Theme of the protest will be “Let’s Unite for a United Manipur, a solidarity Sit-in-Demonstration to Mass Movement in Manipur” and the demonstration shall be highlighting the following slogans and issues:
1. Why is India reluctant to take action against Chin-Kuki Narco-Terrorism?
2. Delhi Chanakya must know that threat to Manipur Integrity is against the national interest of India and India’s Unity in Diversity
3. India should stand against all forms of Terrorism, be it Religious or Narco- terrorism.
4. Manipur Hills can’t be another Golden Triangle.
5. No Separate Administration; No division of Manipur into Ethnic lines
6. Govt. of India, do not legitimize Narco-Terrorist with SoO agreements.
7. SoO protects Narco-Terrorist and Narco-Funding empowers SoO.
8. Restore peace in Manipur
9. Withdraw Suspension of Operations (SoO) with Narco-Terrorist Groups immediately.
10. Replace Assam Rifles from Indo-Myanmar Border Management with more disciplined and sincere organizations.
11. Assam Rifles failed to protect Manipur from cross border Narco-Terrorist Aggression.
12. Security forces failed to protect the Meetei farmers from the attacks of Kuki militants.
Three member delegation of Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI) led by YK Dhiren, Asst. Coordinator, Khuraijam Athouba, Spokesperson and Kongkham Kiran, Member COCOMI had a series of meeting with the various Meetei diaspora groups and CSOs and Women organizations in Delhi and other parts of NCR since July 24 to July 29 July. The organizations includes Delhi Meetei Coordination Committee (DMCC), an apex body of Meetei CSOs and Organizations in Delhi comprising of seven groups namely Delhi Meetei Forum (DMF), Delhi Meetei (DM), Delhi Heritage Society (DHS), International Meetei Organization (IMO), World Meetei Council, Delhi (WMC), Liklam Ngakpa, Eramdam Manipur (EM), United Kakching Students’ Delhi (UNIKAS) have resolved to work in coordination with COCOMI and strengthen the campaign in the National Capital at all front. The joint coordination group has also streamlined all forms of strategy under a unified structure decentralizing various task and responsibility.
The COCOMI appealed all residents, students, professionals and refugees who are in Delhi to take part in the event as we are trying to defend from the Narco-terrorism and demographic aggression in Manipur since May 3, 2023.
“This event will also convey our message to the Govt. of India and all the parliamentarians to help in resolving the crisis on the basis of truth and not on vested politics. As the nation and the world is being fed with so much of Lies and misinformation, with so many concocted stories, the gathering will also expose all of it to the world”, the COCOMI statement said.
