The Chandel Naga Chiefs ’ Association urged the Deputy Commissioner of Chandel for early release and repatriation of the Executive Engineer (EE), District Rural Development Agency ( DRDA ) Chandel to its parent Department.
In a press statement signed by R. Marim, General Secretary of Naga Chiefs’ Association Chandel, the association stated the incumbent Executive Engineer of DRDA L. Saratchandra Singh was posted in the District on deputation from its parent department – the Loktak Development Authority (LDA) where he worked as an Assistant Engineer.
Since then, the LDA’s Assistant Engineer L. Saratchandra Singh has been holding the post of DRDA’s Executive Engineer in the District even after his deputation period in contradictory to the guidelines of the Government Servant Deputation System.
And in this regard, the Principal Secretary (RD & PR ) Government of Manipur issued an order vide No. 4/5/2009-Dev(MC)Pt. dated 23rd January 2016 asking L. Saratchandra Singh to return at his parent department-LDA. However, as the EE continue to hold the post the Naga Chiefs’ Association urged the Deputy Commissioner of Chandel to release and repatriate the Executive Engineer from DRDA Chandel to his parent Department in accordance with the Government’s Order at the earliest at the earliest time.
