Imphal, July 29:
Candidates protesting for the announcement of the Manipur State Power Distribution Company Limited (MSPDCL) and Manipur State Power Corporation Limited (MSPCL) recruitment results met with Minister Th. Biswajit today.
The results for the 2019 recruitment drive, which aimed to fill 907 vacancies across eight different posts, have yet to be announced. Frustrated by the delay, candidates have been seeking meetings with Minister Th. Biswajit and other high-ranking officials since 2021 to inquire about the results. Yumkhaibam Manoj, a candidate, expressed their frustration, stating, “We have been trying to meet Ministers and the Chief Minister, and we have also approached other senior officials, but there has been no update on the recruitment results.”
Manoj noted that despite multiple requests, this was the first time Minister Th. Biswajit agreed to meet them, albeit briefly. During their short meeting, the Minister assured the candidates that the results would be announced as soon as possible.
The candidates remain hopeful that the Minister’s assurance will lead to a prompt announcement of the recruitment results, resolving their long-standing concerns.
