Cabinet meeting held; discussed for extenssion of disturb area status

State cabinet today discussed about the extension of the disturb area status under the Armed Forces Special Powers Act, 1958. According to a highly placed source the state cabinet was left with no other option but to declare the state as disturbed area as before. However, the cabinet meeting was reportedly reluctant to re-declare the seven assembly segment of Imphal as disturb area in view of the present situation.
The main agenda discussed today in the state cabinet which begins from 3 pm were about the Manipur State Schedule tribe Commission, Creation of additional posts at JNIMS, recruitment of AE and SO at MSPCL, MSPDCL, MI and IFC department.
The cabinet meeting also deliberated on the extension of another term  of one year for engagement of VDF in various district police for a period from 1/4/2015 to 31/03/2016.
There were also other agenda discussed today but the issue of ILP was not listed in the main agenda of the cabinet meets.
