Blessing prayer programme of a Manipuri documentary film entitled Lee Amadee Wa (Cane and Bamboo) was held at Sapam Laibung Leikai, Khongjom on 5th February 2022 organised by Apunba Imagi Machasing (AIMS), Manipur.The event was held in presence of Prof. Amar Yumnam, Former Vice Chancellor, Manipur University as Chief Guest and Dr. H. Birkumar, Senior Principal Scientist, CSIR-NEIST was presided the programme. Guest of Honours of the programme include Dr. S. Manikanta, Additional Director (Retired), Manipur Health Services, Prof. Naorem Mohilal Meitei, Head, Department of Zoology, Manipur University, Dr. Homen Thangjam, Indira Gandhi National Tribal University and M. Khelendro, President, Apunba Imagi Machasing Apunba Imagi Machasing (AIMS), Manipur.
The main theme of the documentary film will be based on the Manipuri manuscript known as “Walon puya”with latest development of science and technology revealing many unknown facts about the cane and bamboo theatre still unknown to world.
Main role of the documentary film will be acted by Miss Prithilata Langpoklakpam. Joychand Moirangthem, Boby Haobam, Inaocha Khundrakpam and Sanjoy Chare respectively Director, Chief Consultant, Editor and Director of Photography of the documentary film.
