BJP govt. worried; close door meeting convened to pull out more Congress MLA

Imphal, Nov 28,

With the MPPC players slowly moving its strategy to regain power, the ruling BJP led government headed by the Chief Minister N. Biren Singh is reportedly worried. Source close to the Imphal Times said that a closed door meeting of BJP MLAs and workers who are close to Chief minister N. Biren Singh was held on the evening of day before yesterday at the Chief minister’s Bungalow. Leaked information from among a worker said that the meeting discussed possibility of pulling out some sitting Congress MLA. The source also added that the BJP felt it asthe need of the hour as there are angers running in the blood of some BJP MLAs for not getting any portfolio.

NPP office bearers  has already shown discontent by writing open letter to the Chief Minister stating that the way the government is treating the partner political party of the government is not satisfactory and wants a reshuffle of the Ministers. The letter was written over petty matter of not getting official invitation but it talks volumes as the party fear dropping of two among the 4 MLAs from the Ministerial birth.

The arithmetic that works out on that meeting is that if the BJP could pull out some more MLAs from the Congress, there is nothing to worry to any action of the government like reshuffling of the Ministers.
