Huidrom Design Studio has achieved a landmark honour by winning the Best Healthcare Project of the Year 2025 at the prestigious Global Architect & Builder Awards (GABA) for its exemplary project, Babina Hospital, in Manipur. The event was held on January 19, 2025, at Crown Plaza, Dubai, celebrating excellence and innovation in architecture and construction.

Babina Hospital, designed by Huidrom Design Studio, stands as a testament to innovative healthcare architecture. The 200-bed multispecialty facility blends advanced medical care with thoughtful design, prioritizing patient comfort and wellness. It features a unique glass façade combined with Jaisalmer sandstone, symbolizing both elegance and strength. The atrium, bathed in natural light through custom polycarbonate coverings and GRC-clad columns, creates a calm, welcoming atmosphere.
The hospital also boasts nature-inspired healing gardens, functional and accessible layouts, and glare-proof ventilated lighting, ensuring seamless navigation and a serene environment for patients and visitors alike. Premium furnishings and advanced technology further elevate the facility’s offerings, making it a benchmark in healthcare design.
Dr. Dhabhali Thangjam, CMD of BABINA Hospitality and Healthcare, expressed pride in this achievement, emphasizing the commitment to redefining healthcare excellence.
