A Security Meet was conducted by Mantripukhri Battalion of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) at Hanuman Top Company Operating Base on 24th August. The forum was attended by 28 civilians including Village heads and women society heads of Silent, Happy land, New Salem, Moriangpen and Leikoching villages along with BSF Company Commander from 49 Battalion BSF post. All the attendees were sensitized about the security aspects of the area and their valuable support in order to keep it peaceful and incident free. The attendees were also attended to regarding their specific requirements and assistance required from Assam Rifles.
They were also briefed on the future initiatives to be taken by the Battalion to increase interactions between youths of these villages through career orientation programme aiming at employment and creating a drug free environment. The Villagers expressed their gratitude towards the Assam Rifles for providing assistance whenever required.
