13 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) distributed Sewing Machines to the people of Tamenglong district of Manipur state as part of Military Civic Action Project 2015-16 on 12 February 2016. Speaking on the occasion, Commandant 13 Assam Rifles asserted that the Assam Rifles is committed towards overall development of the region and has constantly been rendering helping hand for the development of remote areas. He further asked the villagers to cooperate with the security forces to bring peace and tranquillity in the region and to accelerate the development of one of the remotest district of the country. The Tamenglong villagers expressed their profound gratitude towards the Assam Rifles for this kind gesture.
