Assam Rifles continues service for the people

Assam Rifles troopers continue its service for the welfare of the community particularly the youth of the state by organizing various programme to improve their skill at many field.
Yesterday , the  9  Sector  Assam  Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) at Chandrakhong Company Operating Base, Thoubal district organized a Career Guidance counselling  programme  for the local youths at its Battalion.
The career guidance programme aims to motivate and guide local youth for the upcoming Indian Army recruitment rally, an Assam Rifle statement said.  The youths were guided about the recruitment procedure and eligibility criteria. A total of 20 young boys attended the programme and expressed their gratitude to the Assam Rifles, the statement added.  
On the other hand Mantripukhri  Battalion  of  HQ  9  Sector  Assam  Rifles  under  the  aegis  of  IGAR (South)  also organised  a  cleanliness  drive  as  part  of  Swatch  Bharat  Abhiyan  at  Chingarel  Village, Imphal East district. A total of 23 peoples along with the troops of Sawombung Company  Operating  Base  actively  participated  in  the  drive.  Chingarel  Village  and surrounding  areas  were  cleaned  and  the  idea  of  Swatch  Bharat  was  promoted.  The villages  appreciated  the  efforts  and  pledged  to  work  relentlessly  towards  a  clean environment and healthy living.
