Imphal, Nov 15: Even as the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has appealed the people not to panic by assuring adequate currency for exchange, many in the state of Manipur are facing extreme suffering and hardship as urgent money for their near and dear one undergoing treatment at hospitals outside the state could not be sent in time.
Parents of students studying abroad are also facing the same as they are kept waited with the same treatments to individuals who came for exchanged of money in front of the banks.
“I have to sent money through Forex as my daughter is in urgent need of money for paying her educational fee, but from morning till now I have been kept waited along with these people who are coming for exchange of money”, a frustrated father said to this reporter.
He further said that my daughter is doing post graduate at Shangai in China and last date for payment of her fee is only a day left.
If money could not be sent in time she may miss her exam, the father added.
On the other hand, most banks here in the state particularly the State Bank of India is still crowded with thousands thronging in for exchange of currency note.
“My brother is undergoing treatment at a hospital at Delhi and if I did not sent money today doctors there might thrown him out of the hospital”, another lady who has been standing in queue in front of the State Bank said to this reporter.
She further added that the bank should arranged a separate entry or counter to deal for consumer of emergency need.

Please blame bank for everything…bankers have been working tirelessly without off even in 2nd Saturday and Sundays with extended working hours. They too have families and personal problems. And above all people are not understanding. There is problem for everyone and everyone will come up with their own problems and banks are using even retired employees in this situation. At least banks deserve appreciations.

Very immature headline. Why would bank kill someone??? Why should banks be blamed? Are bankers just sleeping over inside bank? Kindly visit bank premises and you will see how hard under which circumstances bankers are working. My relative works in bank and he is coming back at home after 10 pm everyday. Bankers are not robots. It’s time we appreciate them for helping the common people. it’s all because of them that some money we are getting. Everywhere banks are blamed. An SBI cashier in Bhopal died while in duty. It’s not easy as we think. Please be polite to them and write something good about them too.

Stupid Editor, do you see any bank employee dozing inside bank?? Bank employees are putting best possible efforts working tirelessly upto late night and even on holidays. It is a national problem faced by everyone. And how will you classify whose need is emergency?? Do u think one can make a separate entrance for emergency category??

yes, yes, today i encountered something professionalism on part of UBI, Singjamei branch. Bank started letting in customers at 11:15, 11:30, going through nail pace, and then all of a sudden at 03:04, yes exact at 03:04 shutter shuts down with a loud and arrogant voice from inside, banks closed. Forgot about me, forgot about youths, at least one muslim girl she was literally crying tomorrow is last date of her admission but her cry couldn’t reach the ears of those so-called professionals and so-call good samaritans. So, stop lecturing about something like sacrifices and all the craps. It is their duty and they are not doing any favor here.
