Led by AMWJU President Asem Bhakta, a team from the union reached out to journalists who have been hit hard by the flood, delivering essential edible items and drinking water to their homes. The initiative aimed to ensure that working journalists, many of whom continue to report from the ground despite personal hardship, receive timely assistance.
The AMWJU team personally visited affected members, demonstrating concern for their well-being while reaffirming the union’s commitment to stand by its fraternity during times of crisis. The union also appreciated the resilience and dedication shown by the journalists in continuing their professional duties amid the natural disaster.
