The All Manipur United Clubs’ Organisation (AMUCO) continued its efforts to reinforce its grassroots structure by leading the General Body Meeting of the Progressive United Clubs’ Organisation (PUCO), held at Khongjom Sapam under the Khongjom Circle of the All Thoubal District United Clubs’ Organisation (ATDUCO). The meeting, organised on the traditional Sagolsen Numit, focused on streamlining local leadership and planning community-based initiatives for the coming years.
Key AMUCO representatives, including Secretary Organisation Laishram Krishnachandra and Assistant Organisation Secretary Y. Inaocha, attended the meeting and offered strategic guidance. Their presence highlighted AMUCO’s commitment to unifying district and unit-level clubs under its broader vision of social progress and cultural preservation. ATDUCO leaders — President Rajen Leisangthem, Secretary General S. Sanathoi, Finance Secretary M. Babu, and Advisor S. Rameshore — also actively participated.
During the session, a new executive team of PUCO was elected for a three-year term with the unanimous support of members. The gathering also evaluated previous activities and discussed plans for more coordinated and effective grassroots action. The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment to foster unity, accountability, and development through collaborative leadership at the community level.
