All Manipur Government Aided Schools Employees Co-ordinating Committee (AMGASECC) begins five day re-lay hunger strike at Keishampat Leimajam Leikai Sega Road, Community Hall demanding implementation of ROP 2014 Pension scheme of the Aided School’s Teachers contributory provident fund-cum Insurance and filling up of vacancy post of Aided Schools.Speaking to media persons, T. Kameng Koireng, State Co-Ordinator, AMGASECC, said the five day re-lay hunger strike has been staged as a part of their agitation against the Government of Manipur. The demands put up by the employees’ body are – 1. Filling up of vacant posts in Aided Schools as the Government has already issued formal orders vide order no. 17/4/07-SE(S) dated 20th June, 2014, entrusting the concerned Zonal Education Officers to take up necessary action for holding DPC as per rules. 2. Immediate implementation of Revised of Pay 2010 to the employees of Aided Schools. 3. Immediate implementation of pension scheme to the retired/expired/existing approved teachers of Aided Schools under its pension rule. 4. And others like revision of Manipur Education code – 1982 and creation of additional posts as to the prescribed pattern of staff in the rules.
