5th round of political talks on Zeliangrong Statehood held in New Delhi

The fifth round of political talks between the Government of India and the Zeliangrong Statehood Working Committee was conducted in the national capital today.
During the discussions, both sides engaged in a comprehensive exchange of views concerning the ongoing Zeliangrong political issues, which have been under negotiation since the signing of the Agreement. The talks focused on defining a mutually acceptable solution that could pave the way for a practical resolution to the long-standing demands.
According to a statement by Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF), the discussions reflected significant progress, with both parties moving closer to a final settlement of the Zeliangrong People Convention (ZPC) political demand. The proposed resolution aims to address contemporary political realities while adhering to democratic principles and processes.
Officials familiar with the dialogue described the outcome of the talks as positive, indicating that a pragmatic solution could be achieved in the near future. Both sides expressed optimism about resolving the issue to meet the aspirations of the Zeliangrong people.
