3 more COVID-19 patient died, 75 locals with no travel history tested positive; death toll reached 32

Imphal, Sept 3:

Seventy five persons who have no travel history from the state of Manipur were tested positive today during the last 24 hours while 2 COVID-18 patient died today  at RIMS, Shija Hospital and JNIMS today rising the death toll due to COVID-19 to 32. . 27 personnel of the Central Armed police were also tested positive today. The total number of COVID -19 Positive detected today is 94. Among those COVID-19 positive cases detected in the last 24 hours from among the locals 49 are male while 25 are female. Those died today includes a 34 years old youth from Bishnupur district. The  other 2 are above 60 years from Imphal East and Imphal West.

The good news is that 167 patient have been tested negative today and discharged. The recovery rate is 72.23% as per a statement from the COVID-19 Common Control Room. The total number of COVID-19 positive case has reached 6609. So far 4774 patients have been recovered. Leaving the total number of active case to 1803.

Across the country 68,584 COVID patients were recovered in the last 24 hours registering highest single day recovery till date. The overall recovery rate has also maintained it’s upward trend and has now reached an impressive 77.09 per cent. So far, nearly 3 million people in the country have recovered from the viral pandemic.
